Since our move from Avilla to Webb City were are working on a new show room in Avilla, located on the 96 highway, with its own storefront. My workshop has since been moved to our garage and we hope to be moving in a new workshop in the back yard for me to work out of. Its just been taking some time due to an unexpected surgery I had in Jan. All is healing well, and hope to be back doing gourds soon. Please email with any questions.

Well so much has happened since our last post. We just moved to Webb City in December. We no longer have a show room and right now I do not have a work shop. But we are working on getting on a new one. Bill and our son are working on our other property in Avilla trying to transform one of our buildings into a show room on the 96 highway. It may take a bit but hopefully we will get it done. We did attend the Indian Art Market 2017 and saw some our same friends and met some new ones. We did really good there. We probably won't be putting any new gourds into the show this year. Without being able to work on them, we feel we don't have much to show. Hopefully this year we will get a chance to work on some new beautiful gourds.
Bill and I are headed to Lawrence Kansas for a show Sat & Sun at the Haskell Indian School, called the Haskell Indian Art Market. Hope any of you can stop by and say hello!
We went to the Haskell Indian Art Market this Sat & Sun, 14th & 15th. We did really well. Met all kinds of wonderful people and saw some dancing. Lots of jewelry f
Left on July 31st for Tenn & Kentucky for a buying trip. They have the 650 plus mile garage sale from Alabama way up. Purchased deer antlers, jewelry, & beads as accents for my gourds. Also purchased many gourds at reasonable prices. A very long and tiring trip.
Attended the gourd show in Springfield on April 27 & 28. Entered 26 gourds in competition and placed in 17. 8 first place,5 2nd place & 4 in 3rd place. Not bad for open competition. Had a wonderful time, but very tired. May 11, 2013Craft show, Miami OklahomaWent to a craft show, first year at the AM College. Did fairly well. Not many people showed up. Maybe next year they'll get more.
I just returned from War Eagle down in Arkansas. We left and set up on Wednesday evening and had 4 days of hot and cold. I did fairly well, selling 25 items. I signed up again for next year, but hopefully with a new display. I will be changing from crafts to art, which means adding a whole new setup. I'll not be selling any more bird houses or small craft items like that. I will be making several more lamps to sell next October.
Put 12 pieces into the gallery located in Carthage Missouri. They will be having their annual art walk in a couple of weeks and I hope everyone enjoys seeing them. Fox warrior was sold today to a collector of indian art. He will be back in a month to look at some more and may want to purchase more. Its very exciting.
Add two indian dolls that I just finished yesterday. My fingers are very tired from all the needle pricks while I was attaching the beads. I realize that some may say they are a bit high in price, but if they had spent all the time making them, they would say it wasn't enough.
I've added a new catagory called Jewerly. Although I only have 3 items listed there will be more to come. Also I added 3 new gourds. Volcano, Bear Den & Silver & Green. |
